Please vote in the 2008 round up, or don't, but you will have to suffer the consequences... pretty much just knowing that you didn't vote. Seriously though, it will eat you up.

Why vote up here in Canada?? Any one have any ideas? Whoever we vote in just gets bulied out and we are stuck with the leaders none of us wanted....they make a big deal out of people going out to vote but WTF for?
This countries political system is a sham and I am fed up with it all.
Okay, you have 3 liberal parties and on conservative. The libs are trying to unite for a vote of no confidence. They need to get together or else the conservative will always win.
Meh....you're on the right track. Our country goes by seats won. The Conservatives won the most seats but did not win in a majority which means that they only have a minority government and that kind of hinders their power.
We also have the NDP (new Democrats) and the Liberals as the other two major parties followed buy an annoying frenchman from the Bloc Quebecois and the Green Party...both non players for the most part.
This is all stemming from the last fiancial plan put forth by Stephen Harper...the current PM. They are not happy with it and they think it doesn't help the inevitable recession we are all heading for. It doesn't help it but in my opinion puts us in a better position when we ultimately come back out of it.
What the three parties is doing is unconstitutional. It's complete bullshit! We have had our say and they are basically telling us that it doesn't matter. I'm mad as hell hoops and may be moving down to FLA. Any rooms for rent?

I understand. I was sooo pissed when Bush got "re-elected" because Kathryn Harris, a Republican, Florida's Supervisor of Elections lost a shitload of votes and many were thrown out because of made up problems. It was so fucked up. I have never disliked, abhorred, despised a president so much. He is a moron.
Good luck. Maybe things will get better. I am very happy that Obama was elected. Now let's see what happens and keep him alive.
Yep, got a room. If McCain had won, I'd be moving up there.
Jana, Our school system is screwed up too. Last night on the news they said that 6 schools in my county will be closing next year because of budget cuts due to the recession that doesn't exist. This will cause more overcrowding and more violence. I am not a parent but it pisses me off too. I almost hate to watch the news. It is always bad news. I'll just stick to watching my boyfriend, Jon Stewart.
I can appreciate that hoops. I can also appreciate the fact that this country lost a lot of men to make sure we had the chance to vote and to make sure our voices were heard......NOT SO GODDAMN MUCH ANYMORE THOUGH!
Maybe the song that I am listening to by one of your fellow Canadians may describe part of your angst, it is "Helpless". I too feel as though the big shots are just churning the gears.
Have a better day. Hey, it is Friday which is also "Hooper Night"!
Helpless is right. He performed in Toronto last night. Sadly I was not there....and sadly that other idiot KD Lang felt the need to cover this song and butcher it all to hell
You have an excellent taste in music. Next time you get all pissed off and frustrated throw on Lou Reed's "Rock & Roll Animal" or any of his stuff. RRA is still great and it works for me.

WHOA COWBOY PULL BACK THE REIGNS
I thought that they was going to be a run off between the liberal dude and the conservative.
Is that happening today?
I am ashamed that I don't know much about your political system. Hell, I barely understand mine. Other than it is all corrupt and they tell us lies.
Thank God Bush is going. What an embarrassment.
Vote K. It feels good.

K,
Please vote. Some people risk their lives for the right to vote. At least you will have tried :)

My apologies. I just realized this is the third time I have raised my voice on the blog today....Well capitalized my letters anyway.
Must be angry at something.
BASTARDS!

Patti Smith does a pretty good version.
I left you a little message on the post with Asslee & Hubby for you.
But what doesn't Patti Smith do well?
Good point. She is very cool.
