Isaac Hayes was found unconscious laying beside a running treadmill in his home in Memphis, Tennessee yesterday.
He was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead at 2:08pm.
Hayes is best known for writing and performing the theme for Shaft, he also voiced the character of "Chef" in South Park.
