Lindsay Lohan-DUI**UPDATED

x17 is reporting that Lindsay Lohan was involved in an accident early this morning with two other people in her car. A civilian called the police to report reckless drinking on the corner of Sunset and Foothill. Lindsay went to the hospital for minor injuries.

An officer involved in the investigation reveals that Lindsay was intoxicated at the time of the accident but because of her need for medical attention she was not taken to the police station. She has been charged with DUI and will face the judge on an undisclosed date.

The x17 photographer who seen her leaving the club at 5:30 am described Lindsay as looking "completely wasted" and "...in no condition to drive."

When will these people(celebrities) learn? They are obviously not learning from the mistakes of their peers. Will it take one of them killing a family of five in a drunken accident to finally take a cab? The stupidity is unfathomable.

***UPDATE***

At a press conference in Los Angeles California was held and Lt Mitch McCann released the following info about Lindsay's DUI:

"A usable amount of an illegal narcotic tentatively identified as cocaine was recovered and booked." Police would not specify where the drugs were found. McCann also declined to comment on Lohan's blood-alcohol level.

"She was charged with a misdemeanor," said McCann. "There is a potential for additional charges." Her tentative arraignment date is Aug. 24. "

We all knew it would only be a matter of time before she was off the wagon but did we know she would fall with such a bang?
