Birkhead Thought He Was # 1

Larry Birkhead was a candidate for Barbara Walters' 10 Most Fascinating People Special. He was contacted by ABC so he decided to hold a Viewing Party for all of his friends (4 people?).
"Larry had been approached by ABC to be one of the candidates, but unknown to him they didn't use him. So when they released all the names except the top one — the most fascinating person that they were going to reveal on the show — he thought it was going to be him. That's what he was telling people."
Can you imagine when Harry Potter writer JK Rowling popped up as Number One? This may just be the best story ever! I can just hear him now,
"I swear to god they called me...I was supposed to be number one!" Oh...the laughter has brought me to tears...

That's freaking hilarious. Too bad for Larry that exploiting your daughter isn't "fascinating."
